Kerrier Homecare signs Armed Forces Covenant

The declaration will see Kerrier Homecare take on an enhanced commitment to supporting serving military, veterans and families.

Part of that will see the company, which has signed the Armed Forces Covenant to support the employment of veterans young and old, recognising military skills and qualifications in its recruitment and selection process. It will also support its employees who have ambitions to be members of the reserve forces, accommodating their training and deployment requirements where possible.

The Armed Forces Covenant was launched as a pledge to support the armed forces community by recognising the value of service personnel, veterans and military families, including their contribution to the organisation and the local area. The covenant focuses on helping members of the armed forces community have the same access to employment.

Jane Simpson, managing director of Kerrier Homecare Ltd, said: “From a young age, I personally served in the Armed Forces and 50% of my office team are Veterans, I am deeply patriotic and believe our Veterans have earnt and deserve any opportunity presented to them"
